Typically, in the USA, when you have a cavity, a dentist must drill extensively to ensure the decay is completely removed and solid, non-infected tooth structure is reached. This is largely a mechanical process, which can sometimes damage and irritate the nerve within the tooth, leading to more pain and sensitivity after the procedure.

Benefits of Papacarie Duo in Minimally Invasive Dentistry

Papacarie Duo dental gel is a chemo-mechanical caries removal agent (CMCR) agent. With this product, the decay removal process is much more gentle - a blue gel is applied within the cavity and left for one minute, which then softens the infected dental tissue and makes it much easier to remove. Hence, patients typically experience less discomfort both during and after the procedure.

There are two active ingredients in Papacarie Duo - one is papain, a naturally occurring enzyme derived from papayas and Chloramine, a gentle cleanser. The gel is a harmless water-based material, safe for all patients and does not contain toxic or irritating components.
